[She's working at the candy shop as per usual, and working hard despite not having customers at the moment] [Tanpopo ruffles his feathers a bit and cheeps, tugging on the collar of her work uniform]
Hm? Tanpopo? What is it?
[The bird chirps again, flapping his wings] [Himawari laughs, and pets him with one finger]
I'm sorry, I guess doing this every day must be kind of boring, huh?
[Tanpopo ruffles up again and then flies away, beyond the camera's view. Himawari watches wherever he's gone with mild interest but he returns shortly, holding a wrapped sweet in his beak, returning from the shelves where he picked one out] [She holds out her hand to him and he lands there, dropping the candy into her palm and pushing a few of her fingers to curl around it with his beak]
Oh...! [looks down at the candy and back up at the bird on her finger] A gift, Tanpopo?
[The bird looks rather satisfied at this and 'pi's before pecking affectionately at her cheek] [She quietly laughs again] Thank you... |

[Hima's been pretty quiet lately because the memory thing FREAKED HER THE FUCK OUT and she did not want it to happen to her. Couple that with the fact that Wata left and hasn't returned, and you have one rather distressed girl. She's been neglecting her journal and kind of just... throwing herself into her work at the candy shop and the bar]

[The audio picks up the sound the first chords of a song on a piano-- soft and kind of sad sounding] [As she's playing there's a moment where she tries to sing the lyrics but stops as she gets embarrassed even though she thinks she's alone]

I think I'm getting better at practicing. It's been over a year since I had lessons back home... but I'm glad that I have a chance here.
And so far, nothing bad's happened at Fay-san's bar. I'm-- [Unreadable]

It seems quite a few people are asking for employees. The candy shop has gotten really empty, too, ever since Kobayashi-kun went home. It's probably better this way. It's strange, I started working for Kakei-san really recently after arriving here for the first time... but now both Kakei-san and Saiga-san have left this place. They've been gone so long that even if they did come here, they probably won't remember.
I guess I wonder sometimes why I keep the candy shop. But I need the job... I guess. It's just strange, I never pictured myself as a salesperson of any kind.
